The 'Realizando Metas' (RM) party has publicly stated its position on the upcoming election for the Public Defender, endorsing former magistrate Angela Russo. In an official statement shared on social media X, the party leadership issued a clear directive to its deputies to vote for Russo. However, some RM deputies, such as Alain Cedeño, have shown caution. Cedeño emphasized that the parliamentary caucus will act autonomously and will conduct its own interviews with the candidates. He acknowledged Russo's legal experience but noted that a decision will be made after evaluating all options. The caucus plans to meet next week to select two or three viable candidates for interviews before giving its full backing to the party's recommendation.
