The Organic Regulation of the Internal Regime of the National Assembly has passed to a second debate after a long wait and discussions in the Credentials Committee. The regulation modifies and adds articles to the single text of Law 49 of 1984. With this approval, the new document, which contains 39 articles, is the result of 18 bill proposals that had stalled discussions several times. Now it is in the hands of the 71 deputies, who can either follow the established rules or modify it. At this point, the Regulation considers as bases for reflection or recognition the demands of the people for discounts to deputies for not having a quorum in the Plenary, the forms filled in with office staff that remain in the Assembly as personnel after the period ends. Discounts for deputies could be given for unjustified absences. It is also requested that the Commissions be formed more quickly after the taking of possession of the directive, however, the same 15 that exist until now would remain, only some add names such as technologies and according to the evolution of time. "That has to change and the same with the officials who work and are not bottles," said Dana Castañeda, president of the Commission, which she said made history in this process.
