Panamanian athletes Jhosselyne Cruz and Josué Pineda won the silver medal in the mixed relay event at the 2025 Pan American and South American Modern Pentathlon Championship in Buenos Aires. Held from November 2 to 9 in the Argentine capital, the international competition brought together over 110 pentathletes from the junior and senior categories from 17 countries across the American continent. The event, held at the facilities of the National Center of High Performance Sports (CeNARD) in Buenos Aires, stood out as one of the most important on the continental calendar for the discipline. “The historic achievement of the Panamanian duo, guided by coaches José Guitián and José Luis Morán, marks a before and after for the development of modern pentathlon in Panama, reaffirming the technical and competitive growth of our athletes at the international level,” the press release from Pandeportes states.
