U.S. Ambassador: Visas for Panamanians to become more flexible if national team plays World Cup in USA

The U.S. Ambassador to Panama, Kevin Cabrera, stated that if the World Cup is held in the United States, the embassy will be “more flexible” with visa requests for Panamanians who want to go to support the National Team.

“We know that here in Panama, people are fully into football… and if the World Cup is over there, we want them to be able to go,” said the ambassador, making it clear that the intention is to support those who apply for the famous “World Cup visa.”

It is still not known in which country the Sele (USA, Canada, or Mexico) will play, but more than one is already dreaming of seeing Panama in a World Cup again, and now with a slightly more open window.

The ambassador also commented that the U.S. embassy is working hand in hand with other embassies in the region to coordinate this special support leading up to the tournament.
