Panama Presents Delegation for Central American Para-Sport Festival

The Paralympic Committee of Panama and the Institute of Sports have presented the national team of 39 para-athletes who will participate in the Para-Sport Festival in Guatemala from November 25 to 30. Competitions will be held in seven disciplines.


Panama Presents Delegation for Central American Para-Sport Festival

The Paralympic Committee of Panama, in conjunction with the Panama Institute of Sports, officially presented the national delegation of para-athletes who will compete in the Central American Para-Sport Festival in the city of Guatemala. The Central American Para-Sport Festival will bring together 490 para-athletes from five countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Panama, from November 25 to 30 of this year. During the event, the two para-athletes who will carry the National Flag were also announced. They are Jhan Carlos Wisdom and Keytlin Escobar, both representatives of para-athletics. Panama will participate with a delegation of 39 para-athletes, accompanied by a team of coaches, mission leadership, medical and physiotherapy staff, and press personnel. The sports in which they will compete are: para-athletics, para-table tennis, para-swimming, para-powerlifting, 3x3 Wheelchair Basketball, Goalball, and Amputee Football. The Central American Para-Sport Festival represents a competition of dignity, identity, and belonging, where each para-athlete embodies effort, dedication, and a powerful message about diversity and inclusion in the region.
