The athlete Karoline Castillo reached the bronze medal this Friday in Kyorugui, the -49kg category of the XX Bolivarian Sports Games Ayacucho-Lima 2025. A press release from the Panama Olympic Committee (COP) detailed that in the quarterfinals, Castillo defeated Thais Trinidad, from Paraguay, (2-0), and in the semifinals, she was overcome (0-2) by the Peruvian Alessandra Suárez, thus securing the sixth bronze medal obtained by the national delegation competing in these regional sporting games. Other taekwondo athletes who saw action this Friday were Ian Romero (-68 kg) and Brenda Brooks (-57 kg). Romero was overcome in the quarterfinals (0-2) by the Venezuelan Yohandri Granado, while Brooks was overcome (1-2) in the same round by the Peruvian Camila Cáceres.
