Panamanian Olympic boxing concluded its performance at the Pan American Games, held in the Peruvian cities of Ayacucho and Lima, yesterday by securing a silver medal. The silver was won by athlete Cristofer Filos in the men's 60-kilogram category. In the final, Filos was defeated by Colombian Yilmar González in the third round by referee stoppage contest (RSC). Filos had advanced to the final of his category by defeating Peruvian Francesco Odria in the semi-finals, also by RSC. In total, Panamanian boxing achieved one silver medal (by Filos) and two bronze medals at these games. The two bronze medals were secured by Luis Pachay in the 55-kilogram category and Eduardo Beckford in the 70-kilogram category.
