The Panamanian Baseball Federation announced the start of the 'Caja de Ahorros Cup 2026' youth championship. The tournament will kick off on January 3 with a match between Colón and Coclé teams.

The Panamanian Baseball Federation (Fedebeis) confirmed that everything is ready for the start of the National Youth Baseball Championship 'Caja de Ahorros Cup 2026', which will take place on January 3, 2026, at the Remón Cantera Stadium, starting at 5:00 PM. A press release from Fedebeis informed that the inaugural ceremony will feature the participation of sports authorities, sponsors, and provincial delegations, officially kicking off the 2026 youth season. To open the tournament, the match between the teams of Colón and Coclé will be played, marking the beginning of a competition that annually highlights the talent and projection of the new generations of Panamanian baseball. As part of the inaugural program, national artist Darío Pitty will be the special guest, providing a festive atmosphere for all attendees. The first date includes other matches, such as: Darién vs. Potros del Este at the José De La Luz Thompson, Metro travels to Mariano Rivera and will face the West, Occidente vs. Bocas del Toro at the Calvin Byron, Chiriquí vs. Veraguas and Herrera vs. Los Santos at the Roberto Hernández. On Sunday, January 4, Metro will face Coclé at the Remón Cantera stadium in Aguadulce, Darién goes against Colón at the Rod Carew stadium, Potros del Este goes against the West at the Mariano Rivera, Chiriquí vs. Bocas del Toro, Herrera vs. Veraguas and Los Santos vs. Occidente at the Glorias Deportivas Baruenses. The regular season is scheduled to end on January 28 with 6 matches, after which the Round of 8 will be played with the best qualifiers.
