Panamanian center-back José 'Coto' Córdoba continues to see action in the English Championship (second division) after returning from a muscle injury. 'Coto' Córdoba came on as a substitute in his team Norwich City's 1-1 draw with Preston North End. Córdoba entered in the 65th minute, replacing his teammate Benjamin Chrisene. It is the second consecutive match the Panamanian player has seen minutes after returning to the field. On December 13, he also came on as a substitute in the 66th minute in his team's 2-1 victory over Southampton. It should be recalled that the Panamanian defender was injured on October 10 when he played with the Panama national team against El Salvador in a match corresponding to the final phase of the Concacaf World Cup Qualifiers. Córdoba, 24, is one of the players in contention to be part of the national team that will represent Panama in the 2026 World Cup.
