Arsenal beats Chelsea thanks to goalkeeper errors

On Wednesday, Arsenal scored two goals thanks to goalkeeper Robert Sánchez's errors to secure a 3-2 victory over Chelsea in the first leg of the English League Cup semi-finals. A corner sailed over Sánchez in the seventh minute, allowing Ben White to head the ball into an unguarded net, before the Spanish keeper let a low cross slip through his hands, gifting Viktor Gyokeres an easy goal in the 49th minute. Substitute Alejandro Garnacho pulled one back, but Martín Zubimendi restored Arsenal's two-goal lead with a strike in the 70th minute. Garnacho's second goal in the 83rd minute gave Chelsea hope ahead of the return leg on February 3 at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium.
