The Panama Professional Baseball League (Probeis) has confirmed its participation in both the Caribbean Series and the Americas Series, which will be held in Mexico and Venezuela respectively. Yesterday, at a press conference, representatives of Probeis officially announced Panama's participation in both tournaments. It was announced that Panama will be represented in the Caribbean Series by the Federales de Chiriquí, with José Mayorga as their manager. The Caribbean Series will take place from February 1st to 7th. As part of their preparation, the Panamanian team will begin training today at the Rod Carew National Stadium starting at 9:00 a.m. Panama's debut will be against the host country, Mexico, on February 2nd at 8:00 p.m. in an attractive matchup. For the Americas Series, Panama will be represented by the Águilas Metropolitanas, with former Major Leaguer Rubén Rivera as their manager. This tournament will be held from February 6th to 13th and will feature the participation of Nicaragua, Colombia, Argentina, Cuba, Curaçao, Venezuela, and Panama, solidifying itself as one of the most important winter competitions on the regional calendar. The Águilas will begin their preparation on January 21st at the Mariano Rivera Academy in La Chorrera, starting at 9:00 a.m. They will debut on February 5th against Venezuela at 6:00 p.m.
