Panamanian midfielder Edward Cedeño underwent surgery to correct an injury to the tendon of his right rectus femoral muscle, which he suffered during a training session with Albacete. Cedeño, who belongs to UD Las Palmas, was operated on at the Quirón clinic in Barcelona, Spain. He will now begin a recovery process in which he will seek to recover in time to be considered for Panama's final squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in Mexico, Canada, and the United States.
