As per the competition regulations, the eight teams that qualified for the Round of Eight of the National Youth Baseball Championship 'Caja de Ahorros Cup' were reinforced with a draft from the four provincial teams eliminated after the tournament's Regular Series. A draw was held to determine the selection order. Coclé picked first, choosing first baseman Carlos Burac from the 'Águilas Harpías de Darién'. The second pick went to Chiriquí, where manager Ángel Chávez selected utility player Omar Vargas from Veraguas, who has national and international experience. Herrera, through its manager Rodrigo Tello, selected right-handed pitcher Eddie Miller from Bocas del Toro, who had an outstanding performance with the 'Tortuguero' team. Panama Metro, using its fourth pick, selected pitcher Reynaldo González from its own roster of 40 players through its manager José Murillo III. The fifth pick in the draft order was for Chiriquí Occidente, and manager José Murillo IV selected catcher Néstor Ramos from the 'Águilas Harpías de Darién'. 'Potros de Panamá Este' picked sixth and selected player Adrián Fuentes from Bocas del Toro through its manager Sebastián Arroyo. Los Santos took Melkys López from Veraguas with the seventh pick, and with the eighth pick, 'Vaqueros de Panamá Oeste', with its manager Dimas Ponce, selected outfielder Edward Delgado from Colón.
