The Panama national team began its participation in the CONCACAF Under-17 Championship with a convincing 6-1 victory over Dominica. The match took place at the Rommel Fernández National Stadium in Panama City and was part of the group stage (Group B).
The main contribution to the victory was made by forward Thiago Chalmers, who scored a hat-trick. Oliver Pinzón, Alexander Tull, and Arian Reyes also scored for the team. This result allowed Panama to take first place in their group with three points.
Eight teams are participating in the tournament. The winners of each group will secure direct spots in the FIFA U-17 World Cup, which will be held in Qatar.
