Dimas Ponce, the manager of Panama Oeste, was named 'Manager of the Year' for the 57th National Youth Baseball Championship, Copa Caja de Ahorros, in honor of legends Dario Agrazal, David Rivas, and Benjamin Salamin. Ponce led the Panama Oeste Vaqueros to first place in the regular season standings with a 19-2 record. This is the first time the coach has won the Manager of the Year award. The other three votes went to the Coclé manager, Rodrigo Merón. 'I feel happy and proud of the work achieved.
