Logan Allen is excited to play for Panama in the World Baseball Classic. "I'm very excited," said Allen. His family living in Panama will be supporting him. "Quite a few family members from that side should be coming, so it will be fun," he added. Allen was interested in the 2023 World Baseball Classic. He arrived at spring training earlier than usual and went to Arizona. With the Guardians' first Cactus League game on Saturday, Allen could make one or two starts before leaving for Panama. "I feel like now that I'm a little more established, it's a better time to take advantage of this opportunity," said Allen, who has pitched in 74 games for Cleveland over the last three seasons. His mother, Pam, was born in the Panamanian province of Colón, which makes him eligible to represent the country. "My mom, my aunt, my cousins from that side. It's going to be great," he concluded.
