Seven Players and Coach Suspended for Baseball Brawl

The Panamanian Baseball Federation suspended seven players and a coach for their involvement in a brawl during a national championship game. The head coach received a 15-game suspension, and one player received a four-year suspension.

A total of seven players and one coach were suspended by the Technical Commission of the Panamanian Baseball Federation (Fedebeis) after it was confirmed that they participated in the brawl that occurred during the match between Los Santos and Veraguas, corresponding to the Regular Series of the Senior National Baseball Championship. In addition to the four-year suspension for Veraguas catcher Juan Aizprúa for striking another player, Veraguas players Erick Mordock, Jonathan Amaya, Dixon González, and Javier Reyna were also suspended for four games, as well as Los Santos players Ismael Velasco and Yeison Austin. Also, the manager of the Veraguas team, Abdiel Ramos, was suspended for 15 games. “The events that occurred on March 28, 2026, at the Roberto 'Flaco Bala' Hernández Stadium, during the development of the National Baseball Championship, attack the order, discipline, respect, and sportsmanship that must prevail in all official competitions organized under the jurisdiction of the Panamanian Baseball Federation,” states part of the Fedebeis Resolution.
