On Friday, January 16, a fight inside a cantina located in the district of Antón, in the province of Coclé, left one person dead. The incident was reported at 6:00 p.m. amidst patronal festivities. During the altercation, a bladed weapon was used, resulting in a 53-year-old man from Los Pantanos being seriously injured. The victim was urgently transported to the Aquilino Tejeira Hospital in Penonomé, where doctors confirmed his death shortly after, according to Coclé Traffic. The alleged aggressor, a man of similar age, was apprehended by authorities minutes later in the center of Antón district and remains in the custody of the Homicide and Femicide Prosecutor's Office of Coclé province. The case is under ongoing investigation to clarify the facts.
