In Panama, a man confessed to stabbing a man to death. The incident occurred on January 6th inside a cantina on Central Avenue in the district of Antón, Coclé province. During the hearing, the judge of guarantees, Iris Samaniego, decreed the suspect's apprehension legal. He was charged with homicide. As part of a plea agreement, he was also sentenced to an accessory penalty of a 3-year ban on carrying bladed or firearms. The victim, 51-year-old Toribio Celestino Guerrero Rodríguez, was murdered around 7:30 PM during a fight. During the brawl, the attacker pulled out a knife and stabbed him four times: two stabs penetrated Guerrero's chest, one in the abdomen, and the last in the right side of his back. Agonizing, Guerrero was taken by National Police units to the emergency room of the Aquilino Tejeira Hospital in Penonomé, but he arrived dead.
