Two people were seriously injured and 20 others sustained minor injuries in a traffic accident that occurred Monday morning on the exit road in the Veracruz area, located in the Arraiján district of West Panama. The small bus from the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) collided with a tree on the side of the road after its driver apparently lost control for undisclosed reasons. It was reported that one of the seriously injured is in stable condition, while the other remains in guarded condition. Firefighters, the National Police, and paramedics from the Social Security Fund (CSS) and the Unique System for Emergency Management (SUME) arrived at the scene to assess and transport the seriously injured to nearby medical centers.
