The driver of a stolen vehicle transporting a corpse was captured in the Arraiján district after evading a National Police (PN) checkpoint. Subsequently, the vehicle's owner was abandoned in the Veracruz district, from where he managed to contact authorities and report the theft. According to a PN report, the car was stolen at gunpoint from a rideshare driver in the Fuente del Chase area, La Chorrera district. In an attempt to escape, the criminal changed his route towards Vista Alegre, evading another checkpoint, and took a dead-end road where he was apprehended. Using surveillance cameras, the car was located in the Bique sector, on the Arraiján-La Chorrera highway, where a police chase began. Inside the vehicle, officers found a firearm and a man with no vital signs, leading them to notify the Public Ministry.
