Former Arraiján mayor Rollyns Rodríguez, once an authority figure, has now become an accused with maximum measures. A guarantees judge ordered his provisional detention after legalizing his apprehension and charging him with alleged aggravated embezzlement. The Public Ministry maintains that there are elements linking the former municipal chief to a supposed patrimonial injury exceeding $800,000. These funds came from the decentralization program. The Prosecutor's Office requested preventive custody, arguing procedural risks, and the judge accepted the request. Alongside Rodríguez, three other former municipal officials were also implicated in the same process for alleged crimes against public administration.
