On Friday night, David De León Ábrego, 23, was killed at his residence in the community of Villa Liriola, which belongs to the corregimiento of Cativá in the province of Colón. Amidst the rain, hitmen arrived at a house where Ábrego was on the terrace and shot him several times, hitting him in the back and the head. According to reports, the victim was left motionless under a tree. The gunmen then left the crime scene. Following the incident, National Police agents arrived at the scene to begin the initial investigation. The young man's body was taken to the judicial morgue in the city of Colón for an autopsy.
