A 15-year-old teenager faces, at his young age, having participated in a murder against a 70-year-old adult, from whom he stole a cell phone at gunpoint. The incident occurred on November 11, when it is presumed that the minor, accompanied by other people, entered a residence in the La Represa community, in the Cativá district, where shots were fired that caused the death of Rubén Arias, 70 years old. This case is being investigated by the Superior Prosecutor's Office for Minors of Colón and Guna Yala. During the hearing where the minor was presented, provisional detention was ordered for the crime against life and personal integrity, in the aggravated homicide modality. During the hearing, the Prosecutor's Office also requested the formulation of charges, a request that was admitted by the Juvenile Criminal Court. Nine months of investigation were granted to the Superior Prosecutor's Office for Minors of Colón and Guna Yala for this case.
