A 20-year-old man has been arrested in Panama on suspicion of murdering a 17-year-old teenager. He has been charged with aggravated homicide and attempted homicide.

In Panama, provisional detention was ordered for a 20-year-old man linked to the death of a minor. On July 8th, 17-year-old Ameth Gonzales was murdered in the El Polvorín community, Cativá district. The suspect is linked to this incident as it is alleged that, in the company of other unidentified individuals, he fired a firearm at two minors, resulting in the death of one of them. He now faces charges for the crimes of aggravated homicide, attempted homicide, and illicit association for criminal activity. The investigation is being conducted by the Specialized Homicide and Femicide Section of the Regional Prosecutor's Office of Colón and Guna Yala, which seeks to prove his participation in this bloody act. During the hearing, the arrest and the formal charges against him were also legalized, requests that were admitted by the judge.
