Panama. On Wednesday morning, in the El Tecal area, Las Margaritas district, Chepo, as part of Operation Steel Shield Phase 2, two men transporting six bales of suspected drugs were apprehended. The suspects were traveling in two gray sedans when they were ordered to stop. During a routine inspection, units from Senafront, the Anti-Narcotics Directorate, FRICONT, and the Panama Brigade located the bales in the trunks of the vehicles. The officers coordinated with the Drug Prosecutor's Office to carry out a search at the nearest Senafront post. In total, 50 packages of suspected drugs were seized. The suspects were also confiscated several mobile phones and other evidence that will be key to the prosecution of this case. The two apprehended individuals, the suspected illicit substance, and the vehicles were handed over to the Drug Prosecutor's Office.
