The National Bank of Panama is strengthening its support for the productive sector through the realization of its Third Agricultural Meeting 2025, with the slogan "Agriculture sails toward new horizons". During this event, it was announced that the bank will allocate B/. 78.4 million to boost the agricultural sector in the province of Chiriquí, as part of a total of B/. 248.9 million destined for this region.
As of the end of January 2025, the agricultural portfolio of the National Bank of Panama reached a balance of B/. 711.2 million, of which B/. 248.9 million corresponds to the province of Chiriquí. This financial boost aims primarily to contribute to the development and strengthening of agricultural production in the region, providing support to local producers.
In the words of the General Manager of the National Bank of Panama, "It is essential for us to continue supporting the agricultural sector, which plays a crucial role in the economy of our country. Through this investment, we aim to promote sustainable growth and innovation in agriculture in Chiriquí, benefiting producers and the community as a whole."
