Two Men Die in Traffic Accident in Chiriquí Province

In the province of Chiriquí, Panama, two men lost their lives on Saturday night due to a traffic accident in the Las Vueltas area, Boca del Monte district, San Lorenzo. The victims were run over while attempting to cross the Interamerican Highway near an overpass. Due to the strong impact, the bodies were left on the roadside. Witnesses report that a minibus involved in the accident may not have seen two indigenous men from the Ngäbe-Buglé ethnic group, who were coming from the comarca. Local residents took the opportunity to denounce the lack of street lighting in the area. With these victims, the number of people killed in traffic accidents in Chiriquí this year has risen to five.
