March 13, 2026. Authorities conducted a police raid in Chiriquí on an illegal cockfighting pit that was operating without the necessary permits in the Loma Colorada area. Upon arrival, officers conducted a thorough search, locating four firearms, 48 rounds of ammunition, several magazines, an alleged illicit substance, and B/.876.00 in cash. The operation also resulted in the apprehension of three individuals, who will now have to answer to the authorities for the irregularities discovered during the intervention. Investigations are ongoing to determine the origin of the seized items and whether there are more individuals linked to this clandestine activity.
