Today is a historic and unforgettable day; we are beginning the path for the 'children of the mountain,' as the youth of this region are known, to access cutting-edge methodologies and technologies, said Óscar Sosa, director of the Terpel Panama Foundation. Sosa added that the new technologies 'will allow them to have better opportunities and build a better future: under a sustainable approach and thanks to the support of our Va&Ven station and store network, the Terpel Panama Foundation focuses all our efforts on educating to transform lives.' The 'Adventure of Letters' library is not falling behind either. Thanks to the Terpel Foundation, Coclesito also has a future. Since its inception in 2023, the Terpel Panama Foundation has already benefited more than 10,000 people, including students and teachers, bringing technology, education, and hope to the corners where almost no one else goes. In the highest mountains, where the road is made of stone and the sun beats down hard, the students of Coclesito today have a new reason to dream big. The Terpel Panama Foundation arrived at the Coclesito Technical Professional Institute, in the Omar Torrijos Herrera district (Colón), to inaugurate its sixth Interactive Classroom and the 'Adventure of Letters' library, a space that will change the lives of more than 900 students and 71 teachers. This is not just a simple classroom. With over 900 storybooks, legends, and science fiction, this corner will become the place where children discover that reading can also be an adventure. For three years, the foundation will accompany the school to ensure this transformation is lasting and that every tool is used to its maximum potential. The director, María Moreno, did not hide her emotion: 'This is a dream come true. It is a technology and reading lab. Our students now have access to what they previously only saw on television. State-of-the-art equipment, augmented reality, and even Starlink satellite internet have arrived in a place where the closest thing to technology before was a radio or a cell phone without a signal.'
