Colón Puerto Libre certifies new companies to boost the economy

Several companies have received official certification as part of the Colón Puerto Libre Special Free Port System, which operates on the Atlantic coast. According to the executive secretary of Colón Puerto Libre, with these incorporations, the total number of commercial companies registered under the regime has reached 54. The entity highlights that this reflects sustained growth and business confidence in this model. This secretariat is focused on a commitment to sustainable development, attracting new investments, and strengthening a commercial ecosystem that drives the local economy and generates benefits for all. Access to this system is available in business areas at Plaza de Colón 2000, Colón Duty Free, businesses on Avenida Bolívar, and other duly identified zones where people can buy without the 7% tax, i.e., tax-free. José Manuel Meneses, 46, stated that it would be ideal for all companies in the city of Colón to join this new system, where you buy at the price shown in the warehouse, which he considers an advantage for buyers. Meanwhile, Angelo De La Rosa, 31, pointed out that this law has been in place for years but needs to be further strengthened to improve the province's economy.
