In Panama, in the province of Colón, inspectors from the Prevention and Customs Supervision Directorate of the Northern Zone conducted a routine operation at a commercial establishment located in the Nueva Providencia area, in the Transisthmian zone. During the procedure, the officials were attended by a citizen of Asian origin with Panamanian nationality. Various goods that did not comply with current customs regulations were found in the establishment, which constitutes a presumed violation of applicable regulations. Among the seized items are: 12 cartons of Pine Change brand cigarettes, 82 units of Uropen 250 mg, 17 units of amoxicillin 500 mg, 161 units of ampicillin 500 mg, 8 boxes of Vitafer 10 ml (16 sachets per box), 27 boxes of Vital Honey 15 g (12 sachets per box), 13 units of Vitafer 10 ml, 4 units of Vital Honey 15 g, 4 packs of Pine Change cigarettes, and 18 boxes of various fireworks, according to inventory. The responsible person could not provide documents to substantiate the origin, ownership, or legal introduction of these products into the customs territory. This led to the products being seized and transferred to the North Zone Customs headquarters to initiate the corresponding procedures.
Panama Seizes Undocumented Goods
Panamanian customs authorities conducted a raid and seized a large quantity of undocumented goods, including medicines, cigarettes, and fireworks. The items were confiscated for further investigation.
