The Governorate of Colón coordinated a working table to reorganize tourist transport at Colón 2000 Cruise Port, with the aim of improving the visitor experience and boosting the local economy. Julio Hernández stated that these actions are part of a strategy to reactivate tourism, considered one of the main economic engines of the province. Rigoberto Hall participated in the meeting on behalf of the Colón Chamber of Commerce, supporting initiatives that allow for order, confidence, and greater economic opportunities. As part of the measures, the call for tenders for transport cooperatives and port administration was announced, in order to establish clear rules and improve service to cruise passengers. The coordination seeks to order the sector to attract more tourism and reactivate the Colón economy. During this season, several cruise ships arrive from different parts of the world in the city of Colón, whose visitors use transportation on the Atlantic coast to travel to various tourist points.
