The Regional Education Directorate of Colón has announced the temporary suspension of classes this Thursday, November 20, in the areas of the Colón province and the communities affected by the floods caused by heavy rains. This measure responds to the difficulty of access to educational centers due to climatic conditions and aims to guarantee the safety of students, teachers, and administrative staff. It has been clarified that the suspension only applies to schools directly affected by the rains. The rest of the educational centers in the province will continue their activity normally and regularly. The Ministry of Education (Meduca) maintains constant communication with the National System of Civil Protection (Sinaproc) to evaluate the evolution of the climatic conditions and ensure the well-being of the educational community.
