During the incident, criminals subdued and deprived several people of their freedom inside the establishment. Subcommissioner Carlos Asprilla, from the Police Zone of Colón, reported that the action was carried out under the «Firmeza» Plan, after receiving a distress call alerting to a robbery in progress at a business on Bolívar Avenue (Street 10). Immediately, units of the National Police moved to the scene, managing to free the victims and thwart the crime. Several individuals, including a minor, were apprehended on Sunday evening while committing a robbery at a hardware store located on 10th Street, Bolívar Avenue, in the city of Colón. According to the report, three adults and one minor were found tied with straps, deprived of their freedom. Asprilla added that three people, including a minor, were captured at the scene and were handed over to the judicial authorities along with the seized evidence, including cash that they intended to take from the store.
