Police capture robber in a bank in Colón

The National Police arrested a 29-year-old man in a bank in Colón after he made a hole in the roof. The detainee has an extensive criminal record.


The National Police arrested a 29-year-old citizen who had entered a bank in the Calle 10 Central area, Barrio Sur district, according to Major Carlos González Benítez, supervising officer of the Colón Police Zone.

Investigations revealed that the individual had accessed the bank after making a hole in the ceiling of the premises, being captured by security cameras. The detainee has a history of various offenses such as attempted robbery, personal injury, theft in commercial establishments, damage to private property, burglary, attempted theft, and other administrative offenses such as disobedience and provocation.

In the words of Officer Benítez: "He broke into a bank to have more cash for carnival, but the police caught him."
