Colón province woke up marked by violence once again. Eduardo Alfredo Jiménez Martínez, 20, was murdered in the early hours of the morning on an internal street in the Medalla Milagrosa community, in the Cristóbal Este district. According to the preliminary report, residents in the area only heard several gunshots. Upon leaving their homes, they found the young man lying by the roadside with gunshot wounds and no vital signs. National Police units arrived at the scene, cordoned off the crime scene, and launched search operations to find the perpetrators of the attack. Subsequently, officials from the Public Ministry conducted the body recovery and the collection of clues and evidence, with the aim of clarifying this new homicide that mourns a family from Colón.
