Cobre Panamá has opened an interactive space in the Colón 2000 shopping mall, where it will present detailed information about its operational processes and the environmental management of the project. This initiative is part of the 174th anniversary of the foundation of the province of Colón, an emblematic date for the region. By being present in one of the city's main shopping centers, the company seeks to bring information closer to the Colón community. "Nothing replaces direct conversation. The tool aims to offer direct and accessible information to those who wish to delve deeper into the subject." It is more than an exhibition; it has been conceived as a meeting point to promote open dialogue, clarify doubts, and listen to the concerns of the public without intermediaries. "Open dialogue is the basis of any relationship of trust," stated Maru Gálvez, Public Relations Manager of Cobre Panamá. With this initiative, the company indicates that it continues to expand spaces for direct conversation in different regions of the country, strengthening a communication model based on transparency and access to information. The activity, open to the general public, began on February 27 and will run until March 8. During these days, visitors will be able to learn how the operations worked when the project was active, interact with a model on the responsible use of water, and access technical explanations about the different components of the mine. One of the main attractions of the space is "CoCo", an artificial intelligence assistant designed to answer in real-time questions related to mining, the environment, and the technical and economic aspects of the project. "We want people to ask everything they need to know and to leave with clear answers."
