Two people were murdered in Colón, Panama, on Saturday night. In the first case, an armed attack resulted in the death of an 18-year-old, and in the second, a 25-year-old man. Police are investigating the crimes.


Two Murdered in Colón Amid Wave of Violence

Panama - The blood ran in Colón on Saturday night with the murder of two people, part of the wave of violence that does not stop on the Atlantic coast. The first case occurred in the community known as La Invasión, sector C, where an armed attack initially left an adult and a minor injured. Both were transferred to the emergency room of Dr. Manuel Amador Guerrero Hospital, where it was later reported the death of the adult, identified as Jean Álvarez, 18 years old. The second homicide occurred in the Viento Frío area, Villa del Caribe community, Cristóbal Este district. It was a man identified as Daniel Martínez, 25 years old, who was transferred to the emergency room of the new Dr. Manuel Amador Guerrero Hospital, where his death was confirmed. National Police agents arrived at both crime scenes, cordoning off the areas while criminalistics personnel collected evidence, clues, and other elements to clarify these homicides. On one of the internal streets of this area, shots were heard and then a person was seen on the floor.
