Over 5,000 Visit Cobre Panamá's Simulator at David Fair

Cobre Panamá presented at the International Fair in David a virtual reality experience that allows the public to learn about and interact with the operation of equipment used during the project's production stage, becoming one of the most visited spaces at the event. In the first days of the fair, the booth has been visited by over 5,000 people, more than 500 of whom have used the virtual reality simulator, reflecting a high level of participation and a strong interest in learning how a modern mine operates through technology. Located at the main entrance of the venue, in the David Building (booths 20, 21, 22, and 23), the space not only allows for observation but also for interaction with simulations that recreate the operation of key equipment in the process, facilitating a clearer understanding of the operations. 'Over 5,000 people have come in just a few days, and that confirms something very clear to us: there is an interest in understanding. That is the value of premiering this technology at the David Fair,' stated Maru Gálvez, Public Relations Manager for Cobre Panamá. Cobre Panamá is setting a precedent for how the mining industry communicates, bringing its processes to the public in a direct, understandable, and participatory way. This demonstrates that when technology is put at the service of knowledge, it is capable of sparking interest, generating conversation, and transforming the way people approach mining. When people can see, interact, and experience, the conversation changes completely.
