Costa Rican cyclist Joseph Ramírez of the Colono Bikestation Kolbi team has taken the overall individual lead of the Vuelta Internacional a Chiriquí following the seventh stage of this international cycling event. Ramírez climbed to the top of the general classification despite not winning the stage, which was taken by his teammate, Donovan Ramírez, who clocked a time of 23 minutes and 27 seconds in the 19.3-kilometer Individual Time Trial. The new leader reached the finish line eight seconds after the winner, while third place went to Jason Huertas of ManzaTé-La Selva-Scott, 30 seconds behind. In the general classification, Ramírez has accumulated 16 hours, 39 minutes, and 53 seconds. He is followed by Alejandro Granados of ManzaTé-La Selva-Scott, 37 seconds behind, and Sergio Arias, 57 seconds behind, all from Colono Bikestation Kolbi. The best Panamanian rider remains Bolívar Espinosa of Senafront Rali, who is eighth overall, 12 minutes and 13 seconds behind. Ramírez also leads the Points classification with 77 points, while Sergio Arias has been crowned the King of the Mountains with 24 points. Fernando Ureña of Caminos de Omar leads the Master category. In the Under-23 category, Alejandro Granados of Colono Bikestation Kolbi is in the lead, and Emanuel Viane of Rali Far Express tops the Junior classification. This Friday, November 28, the eighth and final stage will be held, which will be a closed circuit of 88 kilometers, with David Este as the setting, starting at 11 in the morning.
