The Ministry of Public Works (MOP) informs drivers and residents about scheduled intermittent closures on the Macaracas – La Villa road this week. This area is within the El Colmón reserve, near the regional office of the Ministry of the Environment in the district of Macaracas. To mitigate risks during the beam lifting operations, the work area will have rigorous preventive signage and the supervision of traffic safety personnel. The institution has established a work schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on both days. The specific work will consist of lifting beams on the bridge over the Quebrada Común, as part of the road infrastructure improvement projects in the province. The engineering work will be carried out on Wednesday, February 11, and Thursday, February 12, 2026. The Ministry of Public Works requests that road users pay special attention to the directions of the flaggers and respect the traffic control devices placed at the site. The institution reiterates the importance of these works to guarantee safe and efficient connectivity.
