Business owners from the tourist area met with officials from various agencies to coordinate actions and reinforce security in this historic zone of Panama City, where tourists, residents, and workers converge daily. The meeting was led by executives of the Association of Restaurants, Bars, and Hotels of the Casco Antiguo (ARHCA) alongside representatives from SPI, the National Police, Tourism Police, SINAPROC, the Honorable Fire Department, and municipal authorities. During the meeting, cooperation mechanisms and communication channels for any contingency were reviewed. For ARHCA president GasparÃn Belandria, the issue of security in San Felipe is key to coexistence in the area. He indicated that these coordination efforts help strengthen the response capacity for any situation that may arise in the zone. During the meeting, business owners reiterated their willingness to support the strengthening of security protocols, promote responsible coexistence in establishments, and maintain direct communication with authorities to act quickly when necessary. The coordination between merchants and authorities aims to keep the area as a safe, active, and orderly site.
