The Ministry of Public Works (MOP) announced that it will carry out work on Avenida Balboa, starting from November 22 at 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 23. The work will result in the partial closure of the left carriageway in front of the BAC tower, in the area of Urracá Park. This is part of the Study, Design, Construction, Rehabilitation and Financing of Streets in the District of Panama project, line 2, which covers Bella Vista and San Francisco. The replacement of asphalt and the inclusion of select material will be carried out to repave this street that has been in need of repair for some time.
Safety and Recommendations The MOP asks drivers to take alternative routes, follow the instructions of road safety personnel, and respect all signage in the area. They also emphasize that parking must be only in demarcated areas to avoid adding to the confusion that will already exist. The MOP apologized for the inconvenience and thanked the public for their patience while these works are carried out.
