In Panama, a man known as 'Gordo' was assassinated during the night of yesterday while he was on 12th Street in the Torremolinos area, located in the Tocumen district. Preliminary information details that a white-colored vehicle passed by the road and its occupants shot at the victim before fleeing. 'Gordo' was urgently taken to a nearby medical center, but he died because the bullet impacts reached vital organs. After the death was notified, personnel from the Criminalistics and the Department of Police Investigation (DIP) arrived at the crime scene to collect witness statements, bullet casings, and other evidence that will allow the investigation of the case to move forward. The authorities also conducted operations and made detentions in several points of the district and surrounding areas, but so far, no arrests of suspects have been reported.
