Gastronomic Festival 'TapeAndo' Transforms Calle Uruguay in Panama City

Panama City will host a new gastronomic and cultural event, 'TapeAndo por Calle Uruguay,' this Saturday, November 29th. From 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Calle Uruguay will be transformed into a vibrant pedestrian-only street for a free festival of food, live music, and social gatherings. Produced by Roots Latam and supported by Cerveza Balboa, this initiative aims to revitalize the neighborhood and set a precedent for similar events in other city areas in the future. Attendees will be able to enjoy 28 exclusive tapas from 13 participating restaurants, including The Fish Market, Juan Bar, Black Bear, and more. Access to the event is free but requires pre-registration on the Passline platform. In addition to the culinary route, the event will feature live music from DJ Kenny Van Gómez, Neva Rosas, and Manuel Díaz. The organizers also emphasize responsible consumption, reminding everyone that beer is a drink for celebrating in moderation. The tapas can be paired with a Balboa Negra for B/.5.00 or an imported beer for B/.6.00. As Diana Abad, Project Lead of TapeAndo, shared, the goal is to encourage citizens to 'return to walking through our neighborhoods' and enjoy the culinary offerings and local energy.
