A fire broke out this Friday morning in an apartment located in El Cangrejo on Vía Argentina, prompting the immediate evacuation of the building to safeguard the occupants, according to official reports from the Panama Fire Department. Units attended to several people and pets affected by smoke inhalation, with no injuries reported so far. Colonel Ángel Delgado informed that the fire started in an apartment on the 21st floor. The emergency was brought under control with the support of the Carrasquilla, Calidonia, and Balboa substations. National Police personnel cordoned off the area, while officials from the Panama Municipality conducted the corresponding inspections within the building. The situation is under control, and the building remains under supervision while the damage is being assessed.
