Panamanian resident Robin Duran has denounced a serious wave of thefts and the lack of measures to protect citizens.
According to him, thieves are acting brazenly and quickly. In particular, they stole his sister-in-law's car, a 2020 Kia Sportage with license plate CX5884, which was parked in front of the home of boxing legend Roberto "Mano de Piedra" Duran. The criminals used a device to jam the car's security system, then easily started the engine and fled.
"The whole thing lasts two minutes," Duran, also a television presenter, emphasized. He expressed regret over the lack of street security and stated that thieves are doing as they please.
Duran also added that a year ago, his restaurant, Casa Pulpo, was also burglarized. He mentioned that even with the location of the stolen tablets, his case was closed due to a lack of evidence.
"They steal computers from cars, entire cars... basically, anything they can get their hands on," he said.
In conclusion, Duran appealed to the public for help in finding the car.
"If anyone knows anything or has seen anything, send me a private message. I'm already tired of this situation. I would be very grateful," he added.
