The Authority for Consumer Protection and Competition Defense (Acodeco) has raided "Snowland Panama" following numerous complaints from citizens. The event promised snowfall and Christmas magic, however, upon entering the venue, there was none of that, and attendees confirmed it was just soap foam. The inspection was carried out after multiple complaints of alleged "deceptive advertising". "Snowland Panama" on its website described itself as the "country's first snow park". Tickets to the venue were priced at $18.00, $45.00, and $75.00.
In response, "Snowland Panama" clarified that the images and videos used to promote the event "are referential and generated with AI to show the visual concept of the event." They also stated that from December 23, 2025, to January 7, 2026, they would offer activities such as "inflatable tubing, falling snow, frozen zones, ice skating, and basic skiing" at a location in the Old Town.
