New Year's Cleanup at Panama's Amador Causeway

Panama - An early morning cleanup operation on January 1st was launched at the Amador Causeway (Ancon) tourist area by the Urban and Domestic Cleaning Authority (AAUD). During the New Year's celebrations, hundreds of people gathered in this tourist zone to enjoy and launch fireworks and have a pleasant time. The downside is that all the garbage generated during the event was left on the street, sidewalks, and even on the sea shore. Therefore, with brooms and sweepers in hand, a team from the so-called 'little ants' was dispatched by the AAUD to the area to collect all the debris. Even a trash can was set on fire and now must be replaced. The main objective of this operation was for the area to be ready and clean to receive dozens of families who gather every year on January 1st, during the day, in the tourist zone.
